18 in 18!

A little while back, I was inspired to do a little short-term bucket list. I read about this girl who set out to do 30 new things before she turned 30. So, I thought it should be easy enough for me to do 18 before I turned 18. :) It didn't turn out quite like how I expected it, but hey, I tried, and I'm satisfied. I might just continue with this even if I am already 18. :)

P.S. I've included some pictures I could find of those things I did. Unfortunately, I couldn't attach some others to this page, but I did those bucket list items nonetheless!

1. Take the SATs (and get a high score!)
I took the SATs last October, and well, thankfully, I only had to take it once. I was
afraid I wouldn't get a good score on my first shot, but a 2100 it was! :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Go on a (cheap) roadtrip out of town
For my Dad's birthday, we went to this Eco Park a little outside the Metro. I got to ZIPLINE!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Read and/or watch all of Nicholas Sparks' works
------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Have a mini photoshoot
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Join/win volleyball and debate competitions
An 8th Best Speaker Award from the very first debate competition I ever joined.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Survive Prom, Science Congress, Days With the Lord, and Isang Ikot
My prom tablemates and I at Edsa Shangri-la Plaza.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

7. Make and post a Youtube video
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

8. Learn how to ride a bike
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

9. Play an instrument
I got the chance to learn piano for free when my Music teacher offered us lessons
as part of her study. 30 minutes every Saturday morning proved to be not enough time to
learn much, and I still don't know how to play piano, but it was worth the shot!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Join a marathon or be a race marshall
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

11. Prepare a full course meal
My mom and I prepared this silly attempt at "fine dining" last Christmas.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

12. Have a bake or garage sale or a bazaar
As a project for Economics in Senior Year, we had to set up our own businesses
and stage an Entrepreneurial Bazaar in school. Our group sold an array of
accessories and fancy jewelry, and we earned a little profit too. ;)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

13. Go window shopping and mall hopping with friends
Funnest thing to do ever! Did I mention I have funny crazy friends? I think we went to
Eastwood, Glorietta and Greenbelt, and I don't know where else, but we had a BLAST! :D
----------------------------------------------------------------------

14. Apply (and hopefully get accepted) to foreign colleges
Applied to six, got accepted to two and waitlisted to another two. If I'm lucky
enough, I'll get to go to NYC to pursue my dreams. PRAY FOR ME, pleaaseee. :(
---------------------------------------------------------------------

15. Volunteer for a community project
During Senior Year, our field trip was to a Gawad Kalinga site where we got to paint
(or rather, repaint) some houses. And then it rained REALLY HARD and the whole thing got
cancelled. So I went to the Immersion instead, and lived with a family of informal settlers for
half a day. I love community service. :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

16. Sleepover at someone's house
This is a crazy story of how some nerdy juniors ended up sleeping at their groupmate's house
because they finished their Investigative Project involving counting and watching worms
in a petri dish at FREAKING FOUR IN THE MORNING. Who does that??
Me, apparently.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

17. Do something productive for summer
For the only summer that I didn't stay-cation at my grandparents', I did nothing but study.
Study for the SATs, for college entrance exams, etc etc etc..... Worth it, though.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

18. Have a movie marathon
First mini movie marathon slash pasta eating (and pasta mustache making) bonding!
